Many of us have that fear. When I was a boy, I watched our favorite pet get run over. It broke my heart.

Ticks. I hunt with my dog and I fear her getting Lyme's disease (or anything else for that matter) from ticks. They've been really bad lately too. I took her into the woods last year for a morning hunt and pulled 62 ticks off of her for a 2 hour walk in the woods.

I've not had to mess with that. Is there a wash or a rinse that you can use on your dog that the ticks would respond to and drop off, or is picking them off the only way to get them?

When I was a kid, we used blown out, hot matches and the heat caused them to back out. It wasn't always successful, but most of the time. Later, we learned that alcohol applied would also cause them to back out. But it's been a long time since I've been hiking in woods.

Oh no that's awful that must have been terrible to experience. What kind of leash do you use now I have just the standard leash they have ones that you can push a button and gives them some running room but I dont know anyone that uses them
