I keep a camera in my glove compartment. I took this photo of a flooded golf course in the spring of 07. I enjoy color contrast, and this turned out well.

I just use my regular starter dSLR camera. I'm still getting the hang of it.
I've found that, so far, it's not about the equipment as much as the shot. If you're lucky enough to have a great subject, a lot of it will take care of itself.

This is a photo I took at our local botanical gardens. I have a Samsung digital camera, I, too agree that it has to do with the subject rather than the camera equipment in order to get a great photo.
