Something a little Extra
mrswingert - March 01, 2009
Each time we go to WDW we do something Extra Special for our daughter. We did the horseback riding, the Pirate cruise and Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. What something extra have you done? Has anyone gone surfing at Typhoon Lagoon??

Haven't done those things. Want to try the parasailing, and swiming with sharks. I think Typhoon Lagoon has the shark swim!

We did a spectacular b-day dinner at Crystal Palace for my duaghter one year.

We've also done Blizzard Beach - it is a full day of fun.

Some of the back stage tours sound like a lot of fun!

We did the backstage tour, the full day one. It was very cool. Without trying to reveal too much, they demo the animatronics and how the newer ride cars work, They took us through costuming from design to laundering to distributing (all very high tech), and we got to see backstage cast areas and the famous utilidors. We also a toured the shop, where they build and repair all of the rides and props. The actual stops change, so your tour may be different. This is a must for people who want to know the how and why, and a must not for those who like their magic to stay as it is.

Still on my to-do list is horseback riding, high tea at the Grand Floridian, and Victoria and Albert's chef's table. My husband dreams of scuba diving in the Living Seas, but he has to get his scuba certification first.

We've done both water parks and Disney Quest. I'd like to the Cirque show.
