This picture of my youngest dressed as King Peter with Rafiki is my favorite. Rafiki was the first meet and greet character he met this day, and about two hours later when we were watching the parade on Main Street, Rafiki came over and waved at him up close. We were all impressed that he picked Ian out of the crowd, but it was even a bigger deal to Ian, who said "Mommy, he loves me!". I'm also took a picture I took of Rafiki moments earlier, which must have been just as he saw Ian and made a beeline towards us - of course I was too excited to remember to take a picture when they were a foot away from each other, and then he was gone. But I'll never forget the look on Ian's face, and how magic that moment was. He has special needs, and his desire to be liked and accepted is very strong. The Disney characters always seem so magical to him, and meeting them makes his century.

Audrey,
Isn't it wonderful how the characters make our children feel so special? One time we were watching the Electrical Parade, we were talking with the family beside us, I'm such a shy person! I was tell the kids who was coming, what to expect, my youngest was 7 at the time. I looked at the big bad wolf, had his pattern down, and told the other Mom, the Wolf is coming to your kids - prepare them if your 3 yr old is going to get scared! Sure enough, BBW came right to them!

She turned to me and said, how many times have you seen this??!! She got the BEST picture!!
