STRESS DERAILMENT!!!
glynne1964 - October 16, 2009
Work has become a real headache the last 2-3 weeks. Unfortunately I do not see it improving any time soon. :-(

This has totally derailed me healthy-living wise. I'm so frustrated & upset with myself. I know that letting my job get the best of me is not healthy & letting it derail the good, healthy work I've done just almost makes me want to throw in the towel. But I CAN'T!!! My life is counting on me living healthier. What should I do?

To give the situatiion in a nutshell: I have NEVER been properly trained for my job, though I've been there nearly 2 years!!! My boss said my training was a priority & she put me on day shift for about a month, well now I'm all nights!!! And NO TRAINING has occurred, nor do I see it coming anytime soon. This bugs me cause I see her training new employees all the time. Yesterday, I felt like walking out. Instead I bit my tongue & shed a few tears on my break so I could battle through my shift.

The last 2 weeks we've had at least 3 people out each day, which puts a big strain on the whole crew, but especially the "night crew"...cause she'll call employees in early to help the day shift at the expense of the people who work til close.

I can't quit, though I'd love to. My hubby is still not working, so I'm supporting us. But I feel my job could very well be in jeopardy. I've gotten write-ups for not going to lunch on time or not taking a long enough lunch...CA law. I've only had 1 write up til she took over our store. And I got write up cause I WAS SERVING THE CUSTOMERS THAT WERE COMING INTO THE STORE!!! I'm so frustrated that...UGH!!!! I don't even know what I feel any more.

I guess I should take my frustration out on the walking trails around my home, but I just can't "feel it" in my heart/soul. Thanks for letting me vent. Any suggestions on dealing with this stuff?
