Weight Loss is a result of two factors: our input and our output. Regarding input, consider if you need to reduce the size of portions. Do you snack healthy with fruit, low fat yogurt or other healthy snack? But changing your eating habits is only half of the effort. The other is output of energy, or...exercise. The best exercise is walking. Commit to walking 40 minutes a day. Either get up early, or figure out a time in your day to walk. Treadmills and equipment are OK, and gyms can be a place to burn off the calories. But the least expensive and absolutely guaranteed plan is to walk 40 minutes a day. And of course, the key is to be consistent. Don't ever give up, if you blow it, immediately return to your plan. Good luck on the weight loss and on your marriage.

That's great advice from BroncosDad. Also, drink lots of water - about 64 ounces per day. Staying hydrated is very important so that your body can work the way it's supposed to. Also, keeping a food diary is very helpful so you can see exactly what you're eating. You're welcome to start your own weight loss blog in our topics if you like (you can call it whatever you like... mine is called Belle's Food Diary).

So, weigh and measure your food, drink lots of water, pick a healthy, balanced plan to make sure you get enough nutrients, keep a food blog/diary, drink water, get your exercise, and, in case I forgot to mention it, drink lots of water! Good luck and let us know how you're doing!

I used to drink water ALL of the time when I was working in an office. Now I am a stay at home mom and get so busy running around the house, I forget to drink as much water as I should. Any suggestions?
