I've been doing more exercise than normal (shoveling snow and chopping ice!), which I think is responsible for my 3 pound weight loss this week.
That makes 87.5 for the "Lose A Whole Person" Challenge. I'm going to head over to Our Tally and add this. Join me! ;-)
Jessica, that's WONDERFUL! Keep up the good work! Walking in great exercise, and the nice thing is that you don't need any fancy equipment, just a good pair of shoes and a place to walk. ;-)
Pop over to "Our Weight Loss Tally" (which is a challenge that started this year) and add your weight loss to the tally!
That makes 98.5 for the "Lose A Whole Person" Challenge. Woohoo!
Those are great goals! A healthy food plan is important. You should make sure your doctor is away that you want to lose weight and get a recommendations from him/her.
I follow a 1500 calorie diabetic food plan which includes snacks. I started this plan in September when my husband was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. What I like about it is that I'm never hungry. If you go to my food diary, you can see what I've been eating, although I haven't posted my daily food in several days but it's written down on paper in my kitchen. I weigh and measure everything that's not already pre-measured. That's what works for me.
Hi melaniecom! Good question! We started this ongoing challenge to see how long it would take us to lose as much weight as an average adult weighs. We're about 2/3 of the way through and members can join at any time and add their lost pounds to the tally! Feel free to join us or just cheer us on. :)
The other challenge, "Our Weight Loss Tally" started at the beginning of the year and is ongoing. You're welcome to join that one as well (http://family.go.com/community/groups/lets-lose-together-grp/our-weight-loss-tally-4236/).
