I just had to share this. We went to the mall this weekend, as we were walking around a group of young teen girls walked past us. The girl in the back was kind of dragging behind due to the fact that she was texting.....as she wandered past us she never looked up....... then BAM!!! she walks straight into one of the kiosk counters... never even slowed down! My daughter says "she needs to pay more attention to where she is going" I'm hoping she'll remember that when she gets old enough to be one of those teen texters! -LOL

It scares me when I hear stuff like this. Not paying attention could be a safety issue not only from bumping into the wrong things, but bumping into the wrong people!

One of the real problems with texting is people are beginning to text while driving! That is extremely dangerous. I keep reading about accidents involving people who were trying to sent a text on their cell phones. Common sense needs to prevail.

I can't figure out how someone could possibly text and drive at the same time. I am all for legislation on that.

Oh my gosh I have heard about that... how on earth can you drive and text? This worries me that someone will hit me when texting!

I have no idea how to text. I just got my first cell phone a few months ago. I keep forgetting I own one! LOL

It's nice to know that I am not alone. The kids tell me that I should learn to text so that in the case of a lockdown at school I can silently contact them and they can silently contact me.

Dare I admit that I have never texted before? It's true. My kids think I am a dinosaur.

Well if it weren't for a 7 hour ride home from the beach and nothing to do, I may not have learned it either!

I find myself texting a lot too BroncosDad... and my 10 year caught on real quick! But I must say I would never text in church unless it was an emergency!

I lead a Praise Band at my church. Last week, my acoustic guitarist did a great job. During the sermon, I sent him a text telling him what a great job he did. My girlfriend leaned over and whispered that I was setting a bad example. Her teen daughter was watching me and snickering. @@
