Disney Dining Plan and Food Allergies
sherabby40 - August 11, 2008
We have been to Disney twice on the Dining Plan with my food allergic son.
If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask.
His allergies are milk, peanuts, and all types of fish and shell fish.
He had his first Milk Shake at Whispering Canyon Cafe!
Many many special moments for him and we expect to go back every year because they keep him safe!

How did he have a milk shake with an allergy to milk... was it a milk substitute, or has your son finally outgrown the allergy??? My daughter is allergic too - roughly 25 or 30 allergies, incl 4 of the top 8 allergenic foods. I always have to take a cooler for her full of "safe eats" and no one has

Hi Sherabby40! We're planning to go to Walt Disney World sometime in the next year or two. Lol, I need that much time to plan! dd has severe (life threatening) allergies to milk, eggs, peanut, all tree nuts and beans/peas/lentils. We usually only travel to my mom's or go camping. The year before last, we went to Banff, Alberta and stayed in a hotel with a kitchenette.

I want to make the most of Disney but I don't want to be too stressed the whole time either!

I know dd will love the trip and dh will love Epcot Centre.

When I went in 1976, we went down to and toured the Kennedy Space Centre as well and saw a rocketship take off. I hope our trip this time will be able to include some tours outside of the Disney resort like this.

We are on fixed means, so this is going to be a very special trip. I know that Disney is great at making foods that our children can eat. I think that this will be such an empowering experience for her that I am really pushing for the trip.
