I put a can of peaches in the pancakes yesterday because we were out of the usual bananas. They turned out great! It was a fitst time for the family and they have added it to their list of acceptable pancake fruit.

Also, I did the big no-no, and used all-purpose instead of bread flour. All I had. If anyone out there has all-purpose flour recipes for bread, please let me know! I know for a fact that a hundred years ago, they did not have "bread flour"! Help! I will give you a great jambalaya recipe.

Making bread today. Neigbor children over, ask "Why are you making bread?". Weeeeeeeeeeeellllllllllll, because I am out of store-bought, and we need bread! But it is really important to let children know where their food comes from. I am not great at bread. I am a savory cook. Still learning.
