Holiday Time

How much time do you take off for the holidays? I've hear some take the whole month off others just the weeks around Christmas. Do you do follow the curriculum you are using or do something special?

I've been doing a mix. Following some curriculum and doing some special projects...bakings... making homemade gifts....an advent study.

We aren't going to take specific days off (except Christmas Eve/Christmas and New Years Day). My husband will be home so we'll see how things go otherwise.

I generally stick to our public school system and take a couple of weeks off. We did get a little behind this month so I will use a fewof those days to make them up. We have family coming in from Florida so I have to take at least a week off.
We do quite a few things in December that relate to Christmas. This year has been taken up with a lot of Nutcracker ballet activities.

I haven't had time to put any of my plans in action but next year I'll know for sure. I think next year I'll be implementing some special projects with the curriculum as well as taking some days off. I don't know yet, but I'll figure it out when I get closer. : )
