Halloween Costumes!
FamilyHost_Annabelle - September 09, 2009
Halloween is right around the corner! In years past, we've dressed up as a family of clowns, old-fashioned sun-bathers, sets of dice, clocks, Disney characters and fruit. We've made, purchased and even rented costumes, depending on the year and the ideas we had. This year our family will be greeting the trick-or-treaters dressed as a family of black cats. It should be a lot of fun! We already have black clothing which will be perfect for the costumes. My sister is going to help me fashion some tails out of black faux fur that I found in the attic and will make cat-ear headbands for all of us as well. One of the neighbors (a house painter) is going to lend us some of his wooden ladders that we're going to sit under while we're giving away candy. I think it will be fun!

What costume ideas do you have for this year? Share your thoughts with us, and if you have pictures from past Halloween celebrations, share them as well!

My 4 yo dd will be Cinderella for halloween this year, I made the costume last year. My 9 mo ds will be gus-gus, because I can't resist his little tummy. My Gus-gus costume was really simple. I just grabbed a solid colored sleeper, sewed on a hood and then made ears with an old T-shirt of my hubby's. To keep the ears firm, I just cut out two pieces of ear shaped cardboard and sewed them into the fabir, i will post pics when I get them. And then I sewed a tail onto the back. Can't wait for the big day.
