What an interesting mix of days to finish up the month. So, what is Race Your Mouse Day and what is the history of that holiday?

No one seems to know the history of Race Your Mouse Day. However, if I were going to celebrate it, it would involve my computer mouse, not a real one! ;-)

No real mice for me either. I gave them up when I moved out of my dorm in college. That midnight scurrying creeped me out.

I just told my cat it was "Race Your Mouse Day" and she stared at me with that "I am your boss, you are my staff" look on her face. So I'll be getting no answer from her.

What a beautiful cat! She does seem to have that "I'm the boss" look on her face. My cat is the same way.

Thank you. I often say to her, "Good thing you're cute, little miss bossy girl."

Well, let me tell you just what little miss bossy girl did last night. Let me preface this by saying that every once in a while we'll see a field mouse in the house, particularly when it's raining or when there are new homes going up in the neighborhood, which tends to disrupt the field mice's homes. Apparently Little Miss Bossy Girl (I'm just going to call her "Bossy" from now on) caught a mouse last night after I went to bed, and she deposited it on my keyboard for me to find this morning. How sweet. I gave the poor little critter a proper burial, which in my case is to whistle "Taps" as I toss it into the woods. Thank you for sharing, Bossy.
