Post Your Photos Here!
Wondertime_Sam - November 14, 2008
It's your turn! Post your your best holiday firsts photographs plus a brief description here (just reply to this topic), and you could win one of five Sony Alpha 350 digital cameras we're giving away (valued at $800 each). See complete rules above.

Example:

"Julia was our first child and the family's first grandchild, so everything revolved around her. Before kids, we went to parties and watched the ball drop. This time, with an 11-month-old, we stayed home. My husband said, 'She's already got the Baby New Year diaper let's put a sash on her!' She's always been a charachter."

Good Luck! We can't wait to see all of your Holiday Firsts!

Logan, age eight months, is opening his first (ever) gift on Christmas morning 2008. What is inside the package is far less interesting than the texture and flavor of shiny, crinkly paper. I wonder myself, "What does wrapping paper taste like?" then imagine a bland blend of paste and dye. Better not try it. Meanwhile Logan is smiling so wide as the paper dissolves in his mouth and drool drips down his chin.

My mental notes at time of photo--
For now: Relish this beautiful moment of wonder and discovering while keeping baby from swallowing/choking.
For later: Invent peppermint flavored, non-toxic wrapping paper for babies (and curious parents). Make millions.

If I clicked the right buttons, a photo of Sophia's first meeting with Santa appears with this message. Sophia was not quite five months old when the photo was taken. The photo session was part of a fundraiser for a local animal shelter. The camera malfunctioned after just three frames, but Sophia managed to hit just the right expression in one of those frames.

That's a priceless picture! She looks like she is having a great time on Santa's lap!

First touch of snow! After seeing the snow for the first time, our 7 month old daughter had to get a closer look. She really wanted to get up close, so we set her down and she enjoyed it until she realized the snow came with a little cold as well!

What a cutie! You couldn't ask for a better photo if you had gone to a photographer.

This is my daughter, Bailey's, first Christmas. She was 8 months old. Her face was so round and she looked adorable in her Santa hat!

I really like the use of color only in the Santa hat. It's a neat effect in your photo.

This is a Photo of our two daughters (Violet Clare-2-1/2 & Ivy Paris 8 months old, at the time this picture was taken) This was Ivy's first time looking at a lit up christmas tree- we try every year, to get a great picture for our christmas card, so we put the gate around the tree so they can't touch it, and once we have our cameras ready, the gate comes down, and we have an official "tree lighting" and try and catch the wonder and amazement on their faces when the lights shine for the very first time, to share with all of our friends and family- i will also post this years holiday first of the tree lighting too! thanks!
