Keeping you and your family healthy when flying
FamilyHost_Kristina - October 06, 2008
How do you keep your family healthy when flying? What precautions do you take? With so many people traveling especially during the holidays how do you avoid the germs and sick people?

Many of us travel to warm destinations over the winfer and I have one really long flight... I will have plenty of water, vitamin C, hand gel, and echinacea! I so hope I don't catch anything like I did last year... both my daughter I got a stomach flu!

I hope and wish that you and your family will have a safe, healthy vacation this time :)

I am with you on drinking plenty of water, especially as flying can dehydrate you. I hate flying only because of all that recirculated air with the germs in it. Yuck!

The recirculated air is the worst! I always feel all dried out when I fly.

We drink plenty of water and take extra vitamin C as well as having hand sanitizer... we don't use the pillows or blankets either!

Another great thing is to apply plenty of moisturizer and lip balm to keep you from getting dry skin and chapped lips!

These are all great tips, keep them coming! I am flying in November and I know there will be lots of people with colds and small children on the flights and in the airports. I just hope I don't get a cold when I leave since it is a vacation!

I wear comfy clothes and shoes and keep moving so I am not sedentary... it keeps the circulation moving!

We carry the wipes and hand sanitizer with us. Seems to be working well. We wipe down the arm rests and the window area, those are the places the kids seem to touch the most of.
