Acupuncture

Acupuncture is said to be a unique therapeutic system and part of traditional Chinese medicine. It is used to relieve pain, acute sinus infections as well as speed up the healing of joint pain and injuries. I have even read that some smokers have used acupuncture to stop smoking! I have not tried acupuncture and the thought of all those needles really does not help! Have you tried it for a certain ailment and did it work or would you ever try it?

No needles for me! I've known people who say it really helps, but I'm just not a believer.

When my son was in junior high he did a report on acupuncture and went to a practioner to interview them. With our permission (and his) they put a couple of needles into his hand and he said you could barely feel them at all. What I'm noticing in the community is that acupuncture is more more widely accepted amongst the 16 to 35-year-old population. Kids with sports injuries are seeing acupunturists along with chiropracters before heading to orthopedic doctors. That surprised me a lot.

I am not sure if I believe that it works myself but like you the needles alone turn me away!

I guess it cannot hurt to give acupuncture a try, better for a body than some of the other treatments out there!
