One decoration theme that has actually turned in to a "collection" hobby for me is my Witch's Brewing table I set up on the porch each year. I collect old, unusual looking bottles and bowls for "potions." On Halloween I drape a card table with black spider web material I found at Wal-Mart and arrange the bottles filled with colored water, the bowls filled with dried herbs and spices, and candlesticks. For an even eerier effect drop a little dry ice in one or two of the bottles to make them "smoke." Just be very careful with the dry ice handling it with gloved hands only. I have a jar I filled with plastic spiders. I think I am going to add one filled with eyeballs (candy ones) this year. My favorite part of the decor is a "Spell Book" that my daughter bought for me. It is hollow inside to hold candy and a witches voice says various spooky things when it is opened. Obviously I dress as a haggy old witch and have a ball with the trick-or-treaters!!! For the really little ones that come to the house I keep a plain basket filled with candy several feet away from me, so they do not have to test their bravery!

You must have the favorite house on the block to trick-or-treat at. I love the witch's brewing table idea.
