China has a strict "one child" policy in an effort to control population growth. I've heard that scientists indicate that our planet will struggle to support ten billion people. What can we do to control population? What should we do? Is the chinese model of population control something we should consider for our country? Not acceptable?
The current population is 6, 800,000,000. We've doubled our population in the last 25 years, and that rate is not decreasing. Logistics suggest that if we continue this kind of expansion, we'll literally run out of resources in the next 50 years. Not acceptable?
We are the land of the free. Do we have the freedom to have as many kids as we want? Is that a basic right? In light of the future prospects, I would think that sooner or later all nations are going to have to begin to institute some kinds of regulations to limit the number of children people can have. I don't know how, I don't know how soon, but I don't see any other choice.

I disagree with the thought that sooner or later all nations will begin to institute some sort of population control. I just cannot see that happening, at least not in the U.S. Not acceptable?
