Happy Monday everyone, another week to begin making this world a greener happier place!

Using sleep mode, avoiding screensavers, and remembering to always shut down your computer when you aren't using it for an extended period of time, are all small actions that have big benefits.
The safest things for kids to play with are made of solid wood not pressed, (which contains formaldehyde) or organic fibers. Look for organic cotton, hemp and wool, made without the pesticides and chemical fertilizers that are dangerous for kids to chew on and major water pollutants.

Flying less, especially for shorter trips where fuel use in airplanes is less efficient, would prevent millions of tons of carbon dioxide and other harmful emissions from being released into the atmosphere.
Did you know that home heating accounts for about 34% of the average home's energy consumption.
Green Tip of the Day:
Tankless heaters save energy that is typically used to store hot water on standby and they conserve water that goes unused while water is heating up. With both energy and water savings, seems like a no-brainer in conservation.
Start using drip irrigation for your garden, lawn, orchard or other planting needs on any kind of land and improve your water efficiency by two-thirds
Green Tip of the Day:
Looking and feeling for light and drafts around plumbing and electrical penetrations, doors and windows can identify leaks that are sucking heat right out of your home and will help save energy and money that is being wasted.
Be relaxed while you drive. If you are speeding, accelerating or breaking excessively can reduce your gas mileage by as much as 33%, costing you over a dollar more per gallon. Not only is it safer, but it is greener and will save you money too! I call that a win-win :)
