Is this It?
FamilyHost_Meredith - October 12, 2009
On the 28th, a film will be released using footage of Michael Jackson's preparation for his London tours. "This Is It" follows Jackson behind the scenes from April to June of this year and includes music that will be new to fans.

Are you planning to see the film during its two week release? Is it even appropriate to use this footage for a commercial film? Are you looking forward to hearing the new songs? Is this going to be the end of the "exclusive behind the scenes" of Michael Jackson, or will we be seeing and hearing a lot more in years to come?

No. I like the "old" Michael. Ya know back in the days of Thriller & stuff. He, IMHO became too comercial & even a downright characture of himself. It made me very, very sad.

Also I heard his "new songs" were actually done by Paul Anka. I heard that his estate is now having to pay up for copyright infringement. Sad, sad, sad. No integrity...which breaks my heart the most.

Yes, I've heard it's not all that great, too. His time had passed, and while I don't fault him for trying for a comeback, his musical style belongs to another era for the most part.

I didn't see it in the theaters - I'm sure it'll come out on DVD eventually - but I would like to see it. I wasn't a huge Michael fan but some of his songs were very cool.

In answer to the rest of your question, I think Michael will be around for a long time. It's going to be hard for people to let him go, especially if there ends up being a trial (or seven) surrounding his death.
