How tired are you
FamilyHost_Kristina - November 19, 2008
So I kept flipping the channels and looking at the TV Guide and realized that there are more reality shows than honest to god real scripted sitcoms and series on these days. Have we become a society that will seriously watch just about any average Joe on tv making an idiot of themselves for their 15 minutes of fame and a chunk of change? Do you prefer sitcom and series tv or shows like Big Brother and Survivor?

I really have no interest in the reality shows. I find them tedious and for the most part, ignorant. I like a good sitcom, witty dialogue and interesting plot. Reality shows have no plot other than shock or embarrassment.

Yeah I have noticed that there are so many spin offs from the original reality show by the most scandalous person on the show, that you are right they do become tedious and boring.

UGH! I've NEVER watched either of those shows. ZERO interest in them.

If I watch a "reality show", it's usually about solving crimes or Discovery channel-type things. I detest the biggest part of tv right now. A lot of the junk they have on tv never should have seen the light of day.

Most evenings you can catch me watching the Law & Order-type shows, Animal Planet, SciFi or something funny. Night before last I thoroughly enjoyed a program on different & exotic frogs on AP. I have a thing for frogs/toads & just seeing all the different types & what they have done to adapt to their enviroment had me amazed for a solid hour. Same thing when they did the series Planet Earth on Discovery. NOW THAT'S GOOD TV!!!

I've enjoyed "Eli Stone" but other than live sports, I dont' really enjoy watching TV. Well maybe the History channel or documentaries.

I prefer to watch shows like House, Law & Order: SVU, and show like that. The reality show that I really like is Top Chef. I do admit to being a Food Network junkie.

I love House, Law and Order SVU, Eli Stone and I am addicted to Lost and Heroes. I never miss either of those two. But I have found myself hooked on a cooking reality show, well two because he runs them both called Hell's Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares. I usually detest reality shows but for some reason those two hooked me in!

I love the scripted shows. I'm a huge Lost fan, so I'm waiting for our season to start. I also like Criminal Minds, CSI and CSI NY. Other than those I don't watch a whole lot of tv. My reality show is the NFL.

I'm so tired of reality shows. I enjoyed Survivor the first season but after that all reality shows became so formulaic.

I'm really disappointed that two of my new favs: Eli Stone and Dirty, Sexy, Money got canceled. They seemed like such a nice break from the reality or crime shows on now. I guess it's good to get me away from the tv anyway. ;-)

Eli Stone hasn't been canceled has it? It is still on with new episodes. And I can't wait for lost to start in February as well! Nip Tuck begins in January and I am super excited to see how this season will be.

Eli Stone and Dirty, Sexy Money are on this season. I watch the first and enjoy it. One other show that I really like but don't watch a lot of is "Dirty Jobs" which is on Discovery Channel I think. The guy who hosts is reminds me of a real life "Dr. House" character. He is sarcastic and witty and really really funny.
