Not really. And I DO NOT blame fame/celebrity for it either. There are plenty of couples who have been married for a long time in spite of their fame,,,most recently we heard about how long Paul Newman & JoAnne Woodward were married. Tim Robbins & Susan Saradon and Goldie Hawn & Kurt Russell (though not "legally married") have been together for decades. I think it's because they work it.
Also I think it's really a decision you make. I made up my mind, as did my hubby, that once for us is enough. I have seen people spend months/years planning their wedding ceremonies, but it NEVER enters their head to maybe just maybe work on their relationship instead. They end up paying for years & years on a marriage that lasts 6 months to 1 year. PATHETIC!!
Attached is a pic from H's & my wedding. I planned the wedding in 2-1/2 months & we have been together for going on 20 years. Whatta couple of kids we were! It's my parents that are with us. Mom's still here, but Dad passed away 1 week after their 51st anniversary. That's how you make a marriage!!! ;-)
