The Worst Room
FamilyHost_Cheryl - November 20, 2008
My bedroom is the room in my house where the clutter grows. I admit to piles that need to be gone thru next to my bed and on the night stands. Do you have a room in your place where you just can't get a handle on your clutter?

My spare bedroom has become a catchall. It is terrible, and I desperately need to move boxes and equipment to the garage and paint and clean up that room. But keeping the door shut helps me ignore the problem. Shame on me! :)

The only place that I can't keep clutter free is my PC desk. Everything and anything ends up on it and I am constantly trying to stay on top of it. Even if I have my desk clean tonight by tomorrow morning I will have something on it that needs to be mended, filed, glued, etc. I just cannot seem to win!

I'll admit that my bedroom also can become the family dumping ground - particularly if company is coming and you have critical filing, etc. that cannot be left out. But the main area we have trouble with is our Guest Room. It is downstairs, and away from the everyday traffic -- so items for donations, presents, and just items we're not ready to part with, but don't know what to do with - all end up here. The only good thing is since most of our family lives out of state - I'm forced to routinely "confront" the chaos to make room for visitors. Best thing we've done this year -- rent a dumpster for a week!!! It was very "cleansing" seeing all the junk go that couldn't be recycled etc. The biggest challenge we had was keeping our two boys from trying to jump in and reclaim toys that were way past their prime!

I have to say that right now it is my bedroom also. I have presents in there that need to be wrapped, wrapping paper, ribbons, etc. I just need to make the time tonight and get it all wrapped and cleaned back up!

My worst room is my entire house, since going back to school, I have not had time to keep up with it.

My worst room is my laundry area in the basement. We recently cleaned out the garage and now we have started putting everything in the laundry area. Plastic bins, packages of papertowels and toilet tissue, clothes hanging on racks that I need to go though, paint cans, rakes, way too much stuff. I forgot to add the lint from the dryer everywhere. We manage to stay on top of clutter in every other room in our house except for this one.
