Project #24 - Sewing & Mending & Crafts
FamilyHost_Cheryl - June 28, 2009
This week we're heading into our sewing/crafts room, area or wherever you have all those supplies and we're going to get it in order. Why not donate (or trade with a friend) those items you no longer use that are just taking up space. And, while we're talking crafts and sewing, let's get that mending out and fix those shirts with the missing button, or in my case the soccer pillow that son says he gave me nearly a year ago to fix a seam rip (I can't believe I am admitting to how long I have put off those two inches of mending). As always, check in with your group friends and feel free to share pictures of your finished work.

Oh goodness, this will take a while for me! I recently purchased a lot of material that I found on clearance. Of course I have not started cutting patterns yet, so all of the material is laying on my bedroom floor (see picture). I can proudly say that I did do all of the mending already. I just wish I had my own little sewing area, a place where I can set up my sewing machine and all the supplies that go along with it. I will see if someone here can give me some ideas on how to set up my own little sewing station!

My sewing/craft area is so bad that I don't even sit at the table to work. I just get what I need and work at the kitchen table. I really need to work on getting everything organized. One good thing is I do manage to keep up with the mending! If I remember I'll take a picture of my scary mess and share it with you all :-)
