I'm a week ahead of you! Just last week, I was feeling that way about the front walk. We replaced the red brick around the flower beds with timbers, and it looks so much cleaner, plus it keeps the mulch in when it rains. We also put some bushes in the front to cover the basement window well and ugly brick in the front. It looks so much better already!
My next task, should it ever stop raining here, is to fix the porch light which is falling out of the brick (any idea how to fix that? plug up the holes?), repaint the front door (it's cracked from the heat of having the storm door closed all winter), and get a new, summery welcome mat.
Not acceptable?
