I HAVE A VERY SMALL HOUSE!
kidneybeanmom2 - April 13, 2009
IHI THERE I AM NEW TO THIS! I HAVE A VERY VERY SMALL HOUSE WITH A FAMILY OF 4, I CAN NOT FIGURE OUT OR EVEN GET THE MOTIVATION OR IDEAS TO SPRING CLEAN MY HOUSE, ESPECIALLY WITH BOTH OF THE KIDS AROUND ALL THE TIME. WHAT ARE SOME GOOD WAYS TO GET STARTED?

I would start in the smallest room. This way you see what you have accomplished the most. Depending on how old the children are, include them in your work. Just wiping a table of shelf will keep them busy and help you :)

Hi Kidenybeanmom2! I agree with Giggles, my 20 month old daughter will even dust! LOL, if they can move around, make a game of it. They like being helpers and can do a pretty good job.

I have two 3-year-olds and I can get them to help me EMPTY things, no problem! :) I usually have them empty out drawers or the pantry, then I give them a job like "Line up the cans" or something to keep them busy while I sort and declutter. Then I get them to hand me back the items with directions like, "Find me 2 red cans," and they help me put it back.

Try getting your daughter involved and you won't feel like you're working around her so much.
