Things sure have changed since I had my first child! Back then you had to take a Lamaze class in order for the husband/partner/parent to be with you in the delivery room! Now you can include the whole family if you wish to do so! Who did you choose to be present during delivery and was it a comfort to you? Not acceptable?
I had my husband and my mother with me and they were both fabulous! Because I was having twins I had to deliver in the operating room but I was so focused I don't even remember what the room looked like. They were very supportive and along with the support of my midwife I have a very calm, fast, and easy birth.

Sounds like you had a great birthing experience! I wish my mom could have been here :( Not acceptable?
My mother, husband, and mother in law. It was a little awkward with my mother in law but it was ok.

I was with my daughter in law and son. It wasn't planned that way, it just kind of happened. She didn't seem to care, she was pretty focused. I felt awkward at first, but I'd been through it with my wife, so it wasn't a shock. Birth is pretty special. Not acceptable?
I didn't plan on getting a c-section but it happened I had my mom with me:) Fiance' wasn't the best candidate b/c he hated operating rooms and gets sick at the sight of a lot of blood...lol Mom in the operating room was the of Best decision!!

I was in the same boat. Fiance' totally freaked when they said I needed to have a c-section so my mom stepped in to be by my side. Not sure if it was because they baby wasn't doing well or the whole operating room thing. Not acceptable?

I love my MIL to death but she drove me crazy when I was in labor! I had to ask hubby to please send her out before anything bad happened :x Not acceptable?
