It was announced that Govenor Palins 17 year old daugter is pregnant. When the press asked Obama about this issue he commented that family/kids are off limits are off limits in the political arena. Do you feel family and/or personal life is "fair game" ?

I agree with the question of how. Those against the war just want to end it. How? And what will they do when repercussions happen because of a troop pull out. It is not an easy answer of end the war.

Right, and I think people who are supporting the Democrat in this election will be surprised that he does not end the war on January 21, 2009. In fact, I imagine the war could last as long as his term.
This war is a complicated situation. I didn't agree with it going in, but now that we're in, we have to end it carefully. An abrupt departure would leave a huge vacuum for terrorist groups.
The end of this war is complicated, and it is not as feasible or as easy as certain candidates present. It's the epitome of playing politics.

My question for Nader is the same one I have for Obama: "How?"

Yes, it is about time you all start to see that these two corporate candidates are not the ones to be president. ONLY Ralph Nader and Matt Gonzalez want to get us off the dependence on oil and into a greener energy. ONLY Ralph Nader and Matt Gonzalez want to END the war, not move the war to the REAL war, END THE WAR. ONLY Ralph Nader and Matt Gonzalez want to give all Americans healthcare. Do the research. The 2 corporate candidates have been bought and paid for. If you go and research the 1996 conventions, the same things are being promised to you today as what was promised then. Funny how we got nothing!!! Ralph Nader and Matt Gonzalez want to end the Gaza conflict, end the war, end dependence on foreign oil, end global warming, end the corporate ownership of the government. Ralph was the only one who was right on as to the current financial crisis and the Democrats ridiculed him. Hagel just endorsed Ralph Nader, NOT obama. Don't you think it's about time we find a candidate who wants to wean us off oil altogether? Here is Palin admitting the war in Iraq was for oil: http://thinkprogress.org/2008/08/31/palin-iraq-is-a-war-for-oil / Yet, she also calls it a task from God: http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5jNulPSqaP1eyysv8ENJWhk0ZSrPgD92VJPL00 In my mind, this is a woman who wants to command all the oil. She's ready to drill in Alaska, and continue the war in Iraq (and maybe even Iran, if we're to take McCain's 'bomb bomb bomb Iran' comments to heart.) The only way to end our dependence on foreign oil is to end our dependence on oil, period.

When Palin's 17 year old pregnant daughter is on stage with her at the Rep. convention it is rather silly to say it's off limits to talk about it. There is a very important reason why people should be talking and thinking about it. It is a perfect example of why her policy regarding sex education and birth control is wrong and harmful. Too many people are shockingly ignorant of how their own bodies work. Having sex education and knowledge of birth control options as well as the importance of prophylactics is extremely important. Apparently Palin has applied her sex ed. policy in her own family with the result that her 17 year old will marry young, interrupt (if not derail) her education and probably suffer some kind of negative physical effect due to the demands of growing a baby while her own young body is still developing (not to mention the possibility that she could already have acquired an STD). Palin would still recommend this policy to other families, in addition to taking away the choice to end a pregnancy? I cannot imagine voting for someone who would tell me, in the event of a birth control failure, that i HAD to continue a pregnancy (based on her OWN religious beliefs). How dare someone say they can make that choice for another person. How sadly ironic that many will vote, in the name of women's rights, for a woman that would gladly set back women's rights.

I don't think teenagers are unaware of condoms. Kids are just kids - independent, headstrong, and believing they are invincable.
No matter your beliefs on Palin's views on abortion or birth control, I still find it hard to believe that her daughter's situation should be an issue in this campaign. I am so thankful that my parents weren't national personalities when *I* was 17 years old. I can only imagine some of the embarassment I would've caused them. :-P
