I am new to this site and kept it pretty bare. Oops! But am excited to meet other people who are also DVC members. My daughter is 6 and my son will soon be 4 and my wonderful husband backed up my idea to purchase DVC back in 2007. We are about to take our second trip to DW in February!
I can't say enough about how DVC allowed us to go on a spectacular vacation that we could not have afforded out of pocket. In February of 08 we went on a week long Disney Cruise and a week at Animal Kindgom all on points! That would have easily been a $6000 vacation had it not been for our membership.
Needless to say, we returned and our kids literally cried real tears and pleaded to go back. So we planned another trip for February of 09.
So tell me, what trips have you been on and what are your tips, questions, stories, disappointments about DVC? We would love to hear it!

I'm Carrie, We've been members since 1997! We love DVC, think its the best value in the world. We have been 8 times in the 10 yrs. Want to do the cruise. We paid off OKW, extended the membership 15 yrs, and bought an additional membership to Animal Kingdom!
I'll post more later! Here is a picture of the billboard I was telling you about!
Carrie and all friends,
We have been members since 2007 and also feel like DVC has been a smokin' deal! There is no way we could have paid cash for the vacation we went on in Feb of 08 and all we had to pay for was our airfare.
I have a question for you... Did you make your skirt that you are wearing in the pictures? I love it!
Welcome Michelle! BLT seem really neat-very modern and the art hanging on the walls is supposed to be pretty amazing. I have heard that a lot of people are buying resale because people are selling their timeshares due to the poor economy. But DVC is offering incentives that make it worth going through them. I hope it all works out for you!
We are just 18 days away from our 2nd trip to WDW and the Disney Cruise line. Can't wait!
Jillybean, There is info on the cruises on the main Disney Website. I believe there is a cruise tab just like parks tab.
Once in awhile they run contests with a crusie being givien away!! You can dream.
I'm dreaming of using my DVC points to go on a cruise someday, that is the only time they let you use ALL your points and pay the cash difference.
I would assume you could get an info DVD about the cruise just like you can on the parks. However, I have never looked into it.
ANyone here done a cruise?
Hello,
We joined DVC in 2005 and up until now have only used it to stay at WDW resorts. We just booked our first non Disney vacation. In April we're going to an RCI resort in Florida and also doing a few days at the Animal Kingdom villas. I feel like there is probably so much to learn about the ins and outs of DVC and taking full advantage of the timeshare that we just don't know yet.
I really look forward to maybe getting some tips from other more seasoned DVC members and also on exchanging reviews of the different places we can use our points.
