Believing in "Paying it Forward"

The premise of the movie "Pay it Forward" is that you do something to help someone else with the condition that they find someone who needs help and helps them out. In such a way, good deeds are multiplied. Do you believe in the premise of paying it forward? Do you think that helping others will result in other good deeds?

While I firmly believe in "paying it forward" I don't believe that it always results in other good deeds. I'd like to think that it does, and much of the time it probably does result in others "paying it forward". No matter what, it is worth doing, even if some will accept and not pass it along.
