Hi Everyone! My family will be going to WDW the first part of January. We have a group of 5 adults (one who is in a wheelchair), and a 4 year old princess. Any suggestions on budget friendly meal options? We are staying at the POP Century, so we will probably have breakfast there.

I think that if you want to catch a character meal (which your princess will adore)...pick any of them, but go for breakfast....so much food and fun, but less expensive. We went with 6 adults and 2 kids and went to breakfast with Pooh at the crystal palace in MK, dinner with Cinderella at the GF, and dinner with Mickey at the Garden Grill in Epcot....they were all buffets or family style and worth going to at least once...but breakfast is always cheaper...plan it for a little later then you can skip lunch and just grab a snack...and the characters interact with the adults too....very magical for all!

Well, being that QS is Quick Service you can't go to any character meals...but in tomorrowland there is Sunny Eclipse and he performs at the Starlight cafe...that is a counter service location and very fun in MK...the CM's play hoola hoop and games with the kids too! And maybe you'll be lucky and get to be the family of the day and sit at the special table up front and get a free dessert!

When we went last time the kids were 3,6 and 10. They really enjoyed the Nine Dragons Restaurant in Epcot. We also enjoyed the Hollywood and Vine Playhouse Disney character breakfast in Disney Hollywood Studios. They had a great time and there were not a lot of people so the characters were at the tables for a while. They also did singing and dancing so the kids weren't confined to the tables. They could get up and move around.

I've never been a big fan of the food at Epcot. Very pricey and not that tasty. However, there's a corndog cart at Disneyland that makes the BEST corn dogs I've ever had.

In 2006 & 2007 we went to WDW. We had the dinning plan. Best choice we ever made. We had dinner at Tony's restaurant, delicious, Whispering cafe, Wilderness Lodge, awesome for the ambiance. And the best place it was at the Royal table, the Castle. The lunch was very good. I have to agree that at the SciFI it is reasonable price and yummy. If you like. For a quick lunch you may go at the Commisary Burger, Hollywood Studio. Don't forget, alway make your reservation in advance. If you don't, you might be very disappointed.

I'm not sure why no one told you - GET THE MEALPLAN - you get to eat like Kings, have lots of Charachter dinings and try all of the eateries. I will also be there in Jan and for my family of 7 it's about 150.00 a day. The best deal.

We go to that cart all the time! It's the old fashioned truck just off Main Street USA. You wouldn't think a corn dog could be so delicious!

We ate lunch at the restaurant in France at Epcot. I think it's called Chefs of Paris. The food was decent, but if you really know French food it can be a bit disappointing. The quiche was ok, but we had a "Southwestern" crepe that was inedible. The salad Nicoise was tasty though. I would probably not go back.
