Thanks, I know there will be pros and cons to both, just need to look into things more. The Hotel we would stay at off site would be next to seaworld so still a lot of travel.
Trying to plan a trip to WDW in Jan 09, my daughter is a flower girl in a wedding there then and wondering what there is to do outside the parks. Can you take the monorail if you aren't going to the parks, and if so how? Also want to do 1 Character meal which one is the best?
1 and 3 year old ... been there done that. Unless you are staying at a monorail hotel you will find the WDW bus transport inconvenient, particularly at those ages. We stay at the resort and still use our car - it is the best of both worlds. Buses can be 1 hour plus in each direction.

You should make it a point to have breakfast one morning at the Kona Cafe. The Tonga Toast is out of this world. Also mark your calendar for 6 months out plus 7 days. I think you can make your dining rezzies a few days earlier if you are staying at the resort. Skip the Luau!
We are planning for May '09. Kids will be 3 and 1 yo. I really want to stay in the park, but have an offer of a friends timeshare, outside of Disney. I dont know which way to go, save the money or make it convienient and not need car, and can run back for naps or rest. We havent been since may '01
Hi! My family and I are planning our 3rd trip to Disneyworld in October! We have already been there in Nov. 2005 and Dec. 2007. We are looking foward to the Mickey's not so scary Halloween Party..... We have been to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and it was really cool.
OK everyone, here it is. A chance to ask for other's help in planning their Walt Disney World vacation. So start asking about what you might want help on, and let's see who can help! I am planning my vacation for October 2009. Right now we are looking at booking 7 nights at the Polynesian. Ideas?
