Other Destinations?
Carriefunk - October 19, 2008
Well, I know this is a Disney web site and we all LOVE WDW and DL, however, the DVC offers other destinations. Has anyone taken a trip using the DVC membership and traveled to another destination? If you have, where and how was it? If not, dream a little and tell where you would like to go! (I wanted to go to the Bahamas and stay at Atlantis but the conference my husband was going to attend was changed. Bummer.)

I want to go to Ireland. The Adventures by Disney does a trip there that I'd love to take.

The other one that sounds like fun is the one that goes to London and Paris. I so want to see Europe and Adventures by Disney seems like a fun and safe way to do it.

I really want to go to Italy and France. I also dream of a Disney Cruise! But I doubt I will EVER have enough points for that. We only have 170 pt., and I still have to pay off the last half of that :(.

All of the Europe adventures sound exciting. I just ran across my Disney Files magazine. DVC has s place in Branson, MIssouri! I've Never been to Branson!! Another place closer to home that is more realistic is the Grand Hotel on Macinknac Island, up in Michigan. I grew up in Chicago and never made it up there!

My bosses are from Michigan and have a picture of the Macinknac Bridge in our office.

I grew up in the north too and never realized that you can visit Mackinac Island in the winter!! I read a post today at http://www.familyvacationtravel.org/uncategorized/family-vacation-travel-mackinac-island-summer-winter ( I hope that long URL works. But it looked like a wintery magical place to spend an old fashioned Christmas...maybe next year.

BTW, a Mom new to the this website started a group DVC MOMS. Everyone might want to check out that group too!
