I just read that Gore Verbinski, the director of all three Pirates movies, has said he won't direct a fourth film.
What do you think? Is this going to be a problem? Or can the series stand up for itself no matter who's behind the camera?
Anytime I think of Verbinski, it's one of those "behind the scenes" extras on the DVD. They had just finished shooting a scene and he said "Same thing please, only better." Ha ha! Not acceptable?
Personally, I think the key will be the writers. If you can keep people who know how to create the characters and put the right words in their mouths, then the spirit of the films will continue. Not acceptable?
