I just got back from a trip to St. Thomas and wanted to let you know I got to see the actual treasure chest used in the first Pirates movie. They have it on display in a maritime antiques store right on the main street of Charlotte Amalie. They didn't let folks take pictures of it but it was neat.
That's very cool, Helen. It's a shame they wouldn't let you take a picture.

Internet is abuzz with rumors that Pirates 4 has been bumped back to a Summer 2012 release date so Johnny Depp can film the Lone Ranger film first.
Jerry Bruckheimer confirms that Pirates is definitely happening - hopefully in 2012. The writers are getting to work but they're still on the hunt for a director.
