From time to time Dad is called upon to fix a meal for the kids. Most of us have a "special" meal that we can make. Let's talk about what Dad's cooking and what we think about his special meal.

I do all the cooking (although Marie is learning). My favorite meal to make is baked macaroni and cheese, buttered shelled peas and creamed carrots. Not to many calories in that meal! Luckily we only have it once in a blue moon. They love breakfast the most - pancakes and french toast are their favorites.

I do all the cooking in our house. My wife has the ability to burn boiling water. My kids love it when I make homemade mac and cheese, lasagna and a white cream, pasta dish with pheasant and asparagus.
I try to get my kids involved as much as possible so that they aren't afraid of the kitchen when they get older.

Teaching the kids is a good idea...you're right so many kids leave for college and are completely helpless, no even sure how to make Ramen noodles! :)
