Do You Let Your Kids Watch?
agabel - September 16, 2009
we have only internet tv coming in right now so earphones and turning the labtop away from little faces is allot easier than when i had the tv as my news source, when we had sat. tv coming in the news graphics and comments were a little to much so i would wait until all were in bed and i was thankful for cable

I envy you..I wish my husband would agree to get rid of our TV's I think that you have to constantly monitor what your kids watch and how much you want them exposed to. Even if a program is on Disney it does not necessarily meen it is appropriate for all ages.

it is funny i was sad to see tv go but i agree just because it is on a channel i trust does not mean i agree with the show animal planet when we were watching,,, during kid viewing shows had trailers of horror flicks i mean come on lol i can not be in every room at once so now we watch our animal flicks on the internet less interruptions B)

We actually do NOT have the television on anymore when the news comes on. You never know what terrible story is coming up next. Remember, "If it bleeds, it leads". So there's no way to filter out what images might come on the screen or what audio may come over the speakers.

I prefer to read my news anyway, just because it can be more in-depth and provide better details of a specific situation.
