Special Cupcakes for Theme Parties
FamilyHost_Annabelle - July 24, 2008
Many of us have planned birthday parties with a specific theme - dinosaurs, princesses and so forth. One birthday party I planned for my granddaughter when the movie Pocahontas was released was a "Let's go to the movies" party. I took eight little girls to the local cinema to see the movie, then went to a local ice cream parlor for a "make your own sundae" birthday party. I made plain frosted cupcakes as the birthday 'cake.' If I ever plan a party with a movie theme, I'm going to make these: http://jas.familyfun.go.com/recipefinder/display?id=50184. They're perfect! Check out the cupcakes at http://familyfun.go.com/recipes/special/specialfeature/cupcake-finder-birthday/ and tell us about a birthday party you would design around your favorite cupcake!

Those would really be great for a movie night party, or for a slumber party even! I would have to practice because I am not sure I would be able to get mine to look that great.

Those look really great. They remind me of the Cookie Monster cake pan my mom used when I was little. http://www.wilton.com/shapedpan/Cookie-Monster-Pan-1981

Photo-Drew, do you or your mom still have the Cookie Monster cake pan? What a neat keepsake it'd be to have the one that made a cake for you when you were little.
