Favorite cupcake recipes

I used to live in New York right around the corner from the Magnolia Bakery and I became semi-addicted to their cupcakes, maybe because the scent from the bakery was part of my daily walk to and from the subway! My daughter turns 8 this week and this will be the fourth year in a row I make these cupcakes for her class party.

I take the German chocolate cake recipes and make them into cupcakes. All with traditional icing. I always feel like I am not eating as much when I just eat one....though I never do eat just one :)

Those cupcakes are so cute. I like the frosting colors and the sprinkles.

The traditional coconut icing for the cake. Makes them all feel and taste like miniature cakes :)
