With prices sky rocketing what crafts can you make that don't cost much? I am making twig ornaments and using pine cones to decorate with. Come share your inexpensive ideas here with us!!

I like to dip pine cones in metallic paint and then hang them from the tree. I have a friend who takes tree branches and sprays some snow stuff on them and adds some fake berries and a fake cardinal. They turn out really pretty. How do you make your twig ornaments?

I will make them this weekend and take a photo...they were really cute in the book I saw. You cut 3 twigs and cross them to look kind of like a snowflake and tie the middle. The kids will love helping me gather the twigs!

popcicle (craft) stick snowflakes is something we make every year at the day care. it's similiar to the twig ornament idea, but we hot glue 3 sticks together and a ribbon to the back (for hanging on the tree) then let the kids paint the snowflake either white or ice blue then sprinkle either glitter or fake snow on the wet paint.
you can also make a reindeer using three craft sticks or twigs would be cute too. glue or tie the sticks to form a triangle (leave about an inch of two of the sticks to form ears) then add eyes with either white and black paint or wiggle eyes and a fuzzy red ball for a nose at the point of the triangle.
have other projects at the daycare i will try to add. most of our projects are real cheap to make (considering we have to buy enough to supply 48 children lol), i'll also try to add some photos of the finished projects.

A few years ago, my daughter made these really cute stocking stuffers for my sons. This year she'd like to modify them for her kids preschool teachers. Do you have any ideas on what conditions would require preschool teachers to take a "pill".

The pills are just tic tacs. She found some football-textured scrapbook paper to cover them. Then she just laminated the instructions on the front and attached them in the front. It's a great (and cheap) idea.

White pipe cleaners make great snowflakes. You can also dip them in glue and add glitter to make them sparkle. So easy and very cheap to make. Foam balls covered in glitter make nice unbreakable ornaments too.
