Hi everyone,

My name is Gina, and I'm a busy mom of three kids (5, 3 & 3) that lives just outside Washington DC. I'm joining the group as the "Coupons Expert" to help all of you increase your savings with coupons. There are so many ways to make a great impact on your shopping and family budget. I'm excited for us to work together and help each other succeed!

My goal is to guide you towards major savings using coupons. I am looking forward to sharing some helpful strategies with you and hope you'll participate through questions and comments. I would love to see this group become a strong community.

When you have a minute, please introduce yourself and give me a sense of where you are with coupons. What do you find challenging? What do you want to learn more about? It's also helpful to hear what part of the country you're writing from, if you don't mind sharing it.

I'm looking forward to meeting you,

Gina

Hi , Welcome, Do I know the forget the coupons; I write my grocery list on a envelope back, and place my coupons inside. That way I never forget them. I also found if I leave them in my truck, I am a Grandma now. I only need to grab the envelope and go in the store. I do try to throw out old every so often. When writting my grocery list on the envelope , I am usually going through the grocery sales, so one one side I may put one store, on the other side another store. I always remember to make a U turn so to speak, a round trip, and Walmart here will Comp the prices if the competitor is cheaper, just take the add from the other store, be sure the date is on it, so proves sale is same time. and they will always give you the cheaper price. They will not comp, a price unless it is listed exactly as sold. not two and get one free. The price has to be Dole Banana's 49cents a lb. or Price is $1.00 each. Remember they even take the little fruit stand price as long as the product and sale time is same. Works great, one store. But it you go to another store and get the Buy one Get one free, sometimes is cheaper even with coupons at Walmart. So just watch. so far I have not tried Printed off line coupons in this area. I usually always get the cold, frozen food at the last place I shop and take a cooler pack in a cooler if I had my kids with me. That helps trying to hurry home. Double bag the cold things, tells me which bags to take in first also. Hope this helps. WD601949

Hi Gina, I'm a mom of two kids. I'm pretty bad at using coupons. I always forget to bring them to the store with me. But, we need to start saving more money on our grocery bill, so I'm trying. I am good about using online coupon codes when I shop online (much harder to forget!), and I love getting good deals.

I look every week starting on the weekend at all the local food sales paper and start planning for the week. I do buy the newspaper only on the day the have coupons incorprated with it. I just dicover a couple of online cupon site which will be very valueable.

Hi Alphanet, Welcome to our group! Sounds like you're a coupon vet--I hope you'll share your wisdom and experience with all of us. I think you have some of the new E-coupon options available (I know they're available in the Atlanta area). That can mean additional savings on top of your paper coupons.

Hello Gina, I am a housewife and mom of five sons. Two live on their own now, but still I have a large family to care for. I have used coupons for at least 15 years and don't know how I could have ever made it without them. I not only use grocery coupons, but any other type of coupon or discount I can find. I live in Georgia.

My name is Jessica and I live in Orange, Texas. I am a stay at home mom/office manager of my husband's buisness and at times I am one of his ground hands when he is short. I am a mother of 5 (20,17,15,8 &7). I have to admit, I don't use coupons. Most of the time I forget them. I find it hard to find good coupons nowadays. In the past I have used them and would get them out of our Sunday paper, but the Sunday paper is usually just full of selling mail order things and not many coupons. I've tried going on line and finding some, but I've never been sucessful with printing them. I hope you guys can help me. This summer so far, my kids are eating me out of my house! In advance I want to say "Thank you!"
