Our church has been holding annual auctions for about 20 years. Some of the items up for auction are coupons for goods and/or services. For example, every year for the last 25 years, I've donated a coupon for an Italian dinner for 8 to be delivered to the home of the winner on a date that is mutually convenient for both of us. One of my sisters-in-law, a jewelry maker, gives birthday coupons to us that we can redeem for a custom necklace to coordinate with any outfit we choose. I've received birthday coupons from my then teenagers for chores they don't normally do.
How many of you have either given or received this type of coupon? How many of you can think of creative coupon gift ideas that will save us money at gift-giving time? Post them here!

I did that for my in-laws a few years ago when they got their first digital camera. My brother-in-law and wife gave him the camera, and my gift was a two hour tutor lesson on how to use it. I sorta think she liked my half of the gift better. ;-)

Here's one of the blank coupons I use. Just open a word processing document, insert this picture into the document, put a text box over the picture (making sure you stay within the borders), choose for the picture to be behind the text, and start typing into the text box! Instant gift coupon!
