Best Shopping Deals for the Week
luvbermuda - August 08, 2008
I just came home from our local Publix store. With coupons matching their Buy One Get one Free Sale, I was able to save over $44 ! For $65 worth of food and products I only spent $21!!

I love when this happens. Publix is gret because you can still use two coupons with their BYGO sales!

I also was able to stick up on some school supplies at Walgreen's. 9 cents for pencils, highlighters and some folders. We won't be using all of those but we can donate some to our local school.

So what were your great deals this week?

That's terrific, luvbermuda! Way to go!

For me, this week's big deal is going to happen tomorrow. I have to stock up on flour and have some big coupons I'm going to redeem. Doubling them will get me 6 5lb bags of flour for a penny apiece.

I picked up folders and spiral notebooks for 10 cents each and glue for 20 cents each at Farm & Fleet. At this price I bought some extras to donate.

My big deal of the week actually happened to be a store closing. Our local Goody's had 75% or more off of everything in the store. I managed to get a few things for myself and a bunch for Kailey for little to nothing. My best buy was a dress that had been $49. I purchased it for $12! That's my kind of sale! ^_^

Ten cents each is a great price! My daughter just hit a sale similar to that at a local drug store. It was not advertised so there was a huge supply of back to school stuff. She was in the right place at the right time.

Wow, Night_Childe25! That's excellent! It's worth taking the time to check the newspapers for stores going out of business, because that's really where the bargains are.

Can you explain how you manage this? I hve never been able to save more than 30% on a grocery shopping trip. Now we do most of our shopping at BJs, so I think I do better than I could at the grocery store, but I don't understand how to get such great discounts... thanks!

I started shopping early for Christmas and I saw that Toysrus had TJ Bearytales on clearance for $19.98 and all the clearance items were an additional 20% off, making it $15.98. It originally sold for $49.99 at one time. I'm putting it away for my 3 year old.

You got quite a deal on that! I like shopping early for Christmas as well. It's finding places to hide things as kids get older that gets tough.
