Summer Employment for Students
kayceecat - June 11, 2009
My son's friend has been home for a month now and has been unale to find a summer job to earn some much needed money before he heads back to school in the fall. This young man's summer job from last year was cut due to the downturn in the economy and so it came as a surprise when he got home and there was no longer any job.

A co-worker of mine's son is staying at this university over the summer because he does not want to give up the part-time job that he has. He's not suer it'd be there when he returned in the fall.

How is the summer job market for students in your area?

Summer jobs seem to be doing ok around here. There are lots of seasonal opportunities at parks, ice cream shops, camps, etc. for people. As long as people aren't expecting super-great money or the best of hours, the jobs are there. You just have to work hard.
