My brother recently passed on a swivel chair to use at my keyboards station. They have a couple of dogs, and I noticed that the material had hair various places. Dust Buster to the rescue. If I had pets, I'd probably instal Dust Busters in every room! :)

We wash the dogs... and in the spring before the BIG shed, get them hair cuts. I am lucky and we don't have a major shedding so I can keep up with it by just doing my normal vacuuming! What a beautiful cat Annabelle!

I brush out my dog so that there is less shedding. I also swear by my Dyson vaccuum. It is the best on pet hair.

Thank you, Jennyboots. Rag doll cats shed all the time, year around. She needs to be brushed two or three times a day, and to keep the fur from spreading all over the house, I keep it in a zip top bag. In one week, she sheds enough fur to fill a one quart bag. That's a lot of fur.

That's what we do, Jennyboots. We have two crazy cocker spaniels and two fluffy cats. Bathing the dogs and brushing the cats really cuts down on the hair and fur in the house.

I'm just thinking aloud...has anyone used those lint remover brushes on your chairs and couches? I wonder if that would pick up the hair effectively.

I use them all the time. They do pick up hair very well, but to do the sofa, it takes about four or five peel-offs to get the whole thing looking nice.

I use the "Shed Ender" pet hair comb on my 2 dogs and that tends to keep the hair at bay. I also use a Dirt Devil broom vac to pick up hair between my weekly vacuuming. I wish my dogs weren't scared of the vacuum, I'd love to just vacuum the dogs! :)

Hi CitznFish! I've seen those combs (or something similar) at the local pet store and keep meaning to pick one up. I might add that to my errand list today. Thanks for the idea!

I use a "dry" sponge called the Gonzo Pet Hair Lifter. It works great! You simply rub
the sponge across the area and it gathers up the hair. Just pull off the wad of hair
and wipe again. I even use this dry sponge on my mini-blinds, computer screen,
lamp shades, car seats, clothes, bedspreads, curtains, my cloth picture frames, etc..
It doesn't leave a residue. I love it.

I purchased mine at Altmeyer's Bed, Bath & Home store, but I've seen them at many
of the other home stores. If I recall correctly, I only paid $5 or $6 for it.
