Are we just lazy?

OK, you had a busy day but you still have paperwork to file and your linen closet needs attention. Do you use those bad days as an excuse to leave those papers for tomorrow? Does not doing it mean you are lazy?

Yes, I use those bad days as an excuse to not file thru the piles. Do I consider myself lazy because of it... sometimes I do, depends on my mood. Does the thought of being lazy guilt me into doing it anyway, no way! You know, I am with Scarlet from Gone With The Wind when she says, "Tomorrow is another day."

I have piles I get to eventually...and to add to your movie line... some days I am Rhett Butler... Frankly my dear I don't give a damn!!

"AMEN TO THAT", If it was that important it would have been put away in the first place! Guilt, no way sister. Do too much in one day as it is and papers shmapers...when I get to it I get to it. LOL, I just cleaned out the "to be filed" drawer yesterday and guess what?, 98% was recycled! PLBBBBBb....Sorry, just making a statement....oh and by the way, only 2 pages in the enormous drawer were mine...

At least I am not alone! LOL It took my neighbor almost 5 years to get me to leave things along and enjoy the smell of the roses so to speak. You know what I learned? The world still goes on without everything in its place! I get to it when I feel like it :)

I let it be, if I am having a bad day the last thing I can think of to make it better is folding laundry or filing papers. It is still going to be there the next day so taking a breather and not completely losing it is worth it to me!

It makes me wonder how my mom, with 6 kids and two jobs ever did it all? She even ironed bedsheets and towels!! Maybe I should have paid more attention lol

I am a huge procrastinator, and work best under pressure, and I'm disabled so I deal with pain every day, and some days are worse than others...so my "stacks" grow for months sometimes, but I get it all put away or cleaned up when there's someone coming over or something equally important. It's not hurting anyone. Some days I just want to lie around, and I don't feel guilty anymore! And the same goes for doing housework for my mother, sister, or daughter.....I only do for them if I feel well enough, or energetic enough. I don't let them guilt me into doing for them anymore....only I know how well I feel or don't feel...and they can call me lazy all they want, it doesn't matter...I only have myself to answer to. I won't miss going to the park with the kids because, as most of them say "I have too much to do!"...and if the kids are outside, so am I, unlike most of them, who stay inside to "clean"...I value my kids more! I'm always saying "If you wouldn't leave your purse or your wallet outside alone, why would you leave your kids out there alone?" . Anyway, call it lazy if you want ....I call it enjoying life while I still can!

YES,someone who gets what having children is all about. My son always wants to go outside and I can't always take him out. I can't leave the baby girl in the house unattended and I can't leave him out alone because he is still little enough to be stolen. When my mother in law comes home from work if it isn't too cold out I take him out and let him run and run. Otherwise, I set up the hallway and my living room and chase him to burn off that energy. He thinks it's great. If we are inside the baby follows us and tries to get us. There are times I just leave everything and play all day with the kids. Those are my relaxing days...LOL
