That is very pretty. I live in an apartment so I don't have fire place, but if I did I would have the stocking hang over it, and have garland with white lights and some holly mix within it, maybe one day it will happen.

Our fireplace doesn't have a mantle or a hearth, so we hang garland and our stocking after the fire burns out Christmas Eve. When I figure out how to post pictures, I'll put one up for you.

we have so many stockings, 8, that we hang them on the staircase and since we put so much in them and they are heavy it works better that way so we have kept them there since we have lived in the house. the fireplace i've decorated many ways, this year i have my thomas kinkaid tree, candles and metal deer adorning it with garland. the bottom you cant see but this side of the great room is snowmen so there are some snowmen handing out down there.

We don't have a fireplace. I love this picture. It's very warm and fuzzy. We have 7 stockings to hang and they would totally cover the fireplace. LOL, we hung them on the wall so if Santa makes them heavy they don't have a far drop. Have to "baby" the stockings and cushion any falls. They are prized possessions you know?

I have an angel and some candles on my mantle and a nutcracker sitting next to the fireplace. I had my children's stockings hanging on the mantle also but when I put their stocking stuffers in them they wouldn't stay up there!
