Real Tree vs. Fake Tree
Jennyboots - November 25, 2008
I just love the smell and look of a real tree, but many folks live by their "permanent" tree.. What do you have for you Christmas?

Jenny, I love the smell and look of a real tree, UNFORTUNATELY allergies make that impossible :(( When I was tested my strongest reaction was pine needles. So it will have to be fake for us. Enjoy that real one for me!

Good idea! I'll try that, I spray that smell of Christmas stuff, but it doesn't last long! Thanks for the idea!

We get a tree from the same lot for the last 15 years. They always have nice trees and they are Christmas Tree farmers here in Oregon.

I bought a fake, pre-lit tree a couple of years ago cheap after Christmas. That was the best thing I could have done. The lights are all EVEN and the tree looks great. I also don't have to go and buy a new vaccum in January any more. I had to do that 2 years in a row because the pine needles burned them up!!!!!!!

Its beautiful Jenny! I still have 2 partially decorated trees! I bought the new one and the kids started decorating it. I decided that with 5 boxes of ornaments just for Kev and I, I could decorate the old tree myself! It is in the dining room! Pics later!

It's beautiful Jenny. we put ours up on Friday and it's fully decorated. Now, just waiting for the month to hurry up along so I can take pictures on Christmas Eve to start with. LOL, I guess I just have to putter along until then:)

We like to go cut our own. My daughter just loves that tradition, tromping around in the cold with some hot cocoa, and you can't beat the smell. We are a little biased against fake trees now ayways. When the hubby and I first got together we decided to invest in a big, beautiful fake tree. 2 days after we brought it home and got it all decorated we came downstairs in the morning to find that our new dog had eaten the ENTIRE thing as far up as he could reach!!! Well after vet visits and days of cleanup we've decided to NEVER try that again - LOL We've been cutting our own since (the dog is 10 now and has never even touched the real trees - weird huh)
