Christmas 2009
Jennyboots - October 06, 2009
I have read that back to basics is the theme for this Christmas. Families are cutting back and staying home. I just love it and can't wait! What are you plans this year?

We will be staying home like we have the last 2 years since our son was born! We want him to be able to wake up in his own bed, in his own home, and run to the living room all excitedly to see what Santa left him!! ;-) This year is going to be the best because he's starting to get into the whole opening gifts and seeing what's in there! Plus he's at the age where we can start our own family traditions, like I had growing up!! I looked forward to them every year. I can't wait for Christmas!! I'm SO ready...I even have all my Christmas shopping done!! ;-)

Our plans are mostly the same every year, staying home together as a family. The only change this year is that I am in the mood to decorate differently and so I have started scouring the craft stores and am making some new decorations for the house.

Christmas morning is always at home and I always make dinner. If we're not hosting dinner we go to hubby's aunt's house. I have to hit the craft store for new ornament ideas. I can't wait to decorate, Christmas is my absolute favorite time of the year!!

I bought lots of things on clearance last year and can't wait to pull them out and change things a bit this year! What type of new decorations will you be making kayceecat?

I found a knit pillow pattern that makes a red & white pillow that looks like those Starlight mints. I want to make a few of those. I'm still looking for more ideas on quick things to make. I will have to make another trip to Michael's in the next couple of days.
