I love to give gifts from my kitchen. In the past I have given muffins wrapped up in a muffin tin, homemade breads in a basket, homemade marshmallows with hot cocoa mix, cheesecakes (one of my favorites to make), and one year I did the mixes in mason jars. I have not decided what to make yet this year. I am leaning towards doing breads again and this time wrapping them then putting them in a basket lined with a cloth that I cross-stitch a holiday design onto the corners of. Oh yes, I love giving homemade goodies! In the past it has been breads, jams and canned peppers (all kinds). This year I am thinking about homemade fudge! If I can find a simple recipe that is, lol. Not acceptable?

Fudge is a great gift idea. I used to have a foolproof microwave fudge recipe, but my husband accidentally got rid of it. It was in the microwave cookbook that came along with the microwave and when that microwave died (after 23 years) he thought he was doing me a favor by tossing the cookbook along with it. I did not discover the book was gone until it was too late. I need to search around to find a similar recipe. I like making the kind where you do not have to fool around with a thermometer and get it to the exact temperature. Too many times I've ended up with fudge sauce instead of fudge when I've gone the thermometer route vs. the powdered sugar/microwave kind. Not acceptable?
